My name’s not Jack

I used to think being a “jack of all trades” but a “master of none” was a knock at never being really good at anything. That is, until I realized that having interest in a lot of different things makes you one of the most interesting and capable people in the room.

Now I take pride in the fact that not one single thing defines who I am able to be. In my 30+ years of life on this rock I picked up a lot of sweet hobbies which I still continue to dabble in today: traveling, photography, videography, cooking, graphic web design, writing about life, and musical instruments to name some. A few even turned into money making hobbies like taking videos at events and starting a photo-booth company. And some of the most gratifying hobbies I have are the ones that bring other people joy, like cooking or music.

So how best do I take all that interest and boil it down other than to start a blog about it. I hope that whoever reads the recipes or articles or reviews or whatever on this site share in a taste of my life, which from my perspective, has a lot of different flavors. I’m blessed to say the least and hope to share a bit of that with you in this blog.

The skinny: I am a loving husband to my wife and a father to two beautiful children. I reside in the suburbs of Chicago but like to stay close to the city where I grew up. I am a devout Catholic and have a passion for forming a strong family. I love making time for hobbies when I can because they all allow me to express myself in different ways. I have a dry sense of humor which few can decipher. When I do have to work, it is downtown for a major information services company. I enjoy both worlds of boxer and brief simultaneously and believe it is the only way to go.
